At the Staten Island Advance, graphics for the print edition played an important role in how this suburb of New York City consumed and learned about the news that matters most to this small community.
Many of these cutaway and isometric graphics were created on an extremely tight deadline — often with only 24 hours of lead time. These projects were very hands-on, and I often went to the site with reporters to cover the news of the day.
